I got my start in IT over 20 years ago with a technology called EDI. EDI, or Electronic Data Interchange, is a technology that allows organizations to electronically exchange documents, such as invoices, orders, and shipping notices. It was one of the earliest forms of electronic communication between businesses, and it has played a significant role in the development of modern e-commerce. EDI systems are designed to allow businesses to quickly and accurately exchange information, reducing the need for paper-based communication and manual data entry. Many companies, particularly those in the supply chain and logistics industries, still use EDI systems today as a reliable and efficient way to exchange important business documents.
